Gopalkala is a delicious and easy to make Krishna Janmashtami special recipe made with soaked poha, cucumber, yogurt and spices. Offered to Lord Krishna as a prasadam, this dish gives a refreshing and cooling effect.
Gopalkala

Ingredients:
Poha (Aval/Beaten Rice) – 125 gms
Coconut – 1/2, grated
Cucumber – 1/4 cup, chopped
Green Chilli – 1, finely chopped
Curd – 2 tblsp
Ghee – 1 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – 1/4 inch piece, finely chopped
Sugar – 1/4 tsp
Salt as per taste
Coriander Leaves – little, chopped

Method:
1. Soak the poha for 5 to 10 minutes.
2. Heat ghee in a pan.
3. Fry the cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger for a minute.
4. Pour this over the poha.
5. Add all the remaining ingredients and mix well.
6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
7. Serve.
