Raw Tomato Chutney

Raw Tomato Chutney

4 medium size raw tomatoes (green)
6-8 green chillies
¼ cup Coriander leaves
½ tsp Sugar
½ Cup Roasted Groundnuts
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp hing(asafoetida)
1 tsp mustard seeds
3 tablespoons oil for frying


1.Cut the raw tomatoes into 4 pieces each.

2. Heat 3-4 tsp of oil in pan and add the cut tomatoes along with chillies

3.Fry for 5 min and cool it.

4.Make powder of roasted groundnuts.

5.Add hing, salt, sugar, coriander and 4 tbsp of roasted groundnut powder

to the fried tomatoes & chillies.

6.Grind the mixture

Note: Don’t make it a very smooth paste, let it be little coarse.

Interesting variation of the regular tomato chutney i am used to.
