Mini Idli With Curd Recipe

Ingredients
For making idlis:
Rice – 300 gm
Black gram(Uzhunnuparippu) -150 gm
Salt – As reqd
Oil to grease Idli moulds
Water for boiling in cooker – 1½ glass

For preparing the curd:
Curd – 2 kg
Salt – As reqd
Sugar – 2 tsp
Oil – 1 tbsp
Mustard seeds(small) – 1½ tsp
Red chilly (dry)
(Kollamulaku) – 4 pcs
Curry leaves – 8-10
Fresh coconut (grated) – 1
Coriander leaves
(finely chopped) – A few
 
Preparation Method
1)Follow the method for preparing the plain idlis.(Pls refer the plain idli recipe)

2)Make plain idlis in a Mini idli stand and keep them aside.

3)Beat curd with sugar and salt.

4)Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds, followed by the red chillies and curry leaves.

5)Add this seasoning into the beaten curd.

6)Add the grated coconut into the curd and mix well.

7)Finally, slip in the small idlis into the curd mixture.

8)Transfer the contents into a serving bowl.

9)Sprinkle a few coriander leaves.

10)Refrigerate for 1 hour before serving.

    You can use standard Britannia cheese that you get in the super market.
