Rava Upma Recipe
Ingredients:
Rava – 1 cup
Onion – 1
Green Chillies – 2
Fresh ginger – a small piece
Bengal gram dal – 1 teaspoon
Urad dhal – 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves – few
Oil – 8 teaspoon
Mustard – ½ teaspoon
Salt – ½ teaspoon
Method:
In a kadai, put four teaspoon oil and fry the rawa till it changes its colour.
Remove it and keep it.
In the same kadai, put the remaining oil and when it is hot, add the mustard.
When it pops up, add the dals and fry till it turns light brown.
Add chopped onion, chillies, ginger and curry leaves.
Fry till onions are transparent.
Add two cups of water along with salt.
Bring to boil.
When it starts boiling, slowly add the fried rawa and stir continuously till it turn like a big ball.
Note: You can add a small carrot cut into pieces and little green peas along with onion in the uppuma. You can also sprinkle little lemon juice.

a quick dish, i cook it often
