Ellu Kozhakattai Recipe

Ingredients:
For Dough
2 cups rice flour
1 tbsp oil
A pinch of salt
 
For Filling
1 cup white sesame seeds
1 cup jaggery (powdered)
1 tbsp ghee

Method:
1. Heat 2 cups of water in a pan.
2. Add salt, oil and flour, then stir continuously till dough leaves the sides of the pan.
3. Allow to cool and knead well.
4. Set aside.
5. Roast sesame seeds till pink.
6. Grind to a fine powder along with jaggery.
7. Add ghee and mix well.
8. Now take a small portion of dough and with greased palms, pat into a disc.
9. Put a small portion of filling in the centre.
10. Fold over the edges and make a half circle.
11. Press the edges well.
12. Similarly make all Kozhakattais and steam.
