Rajma Pulao Recipe
Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups basmati rice, washed and drained
1 onion, finely chopped
4 green chillies, sliced lengthwise
3 tbsp red kidney beans, already cooked
3 cardamoms
5 cloves
10 black pepper corns
2 bay leaves
Salt as per taste
2-3 tbsp oil or ghee
Method:
1. Heat oil in a pan and fry all the spices and bay leaves and onions. Add rice and fry for 4 to5 minutes, stirring continously.
2. Add 3 cups of water and season with salt. Bring to boil, reduce the heat and stir the rice for once and cover with lid.
3. Simmer for 10 minutes, remove from heat and leave the pan covered for few more minutes, so that the rice cooks in the steam.
4. Remove the lid and add the kidney beans.
Serve hot with Navratna Kurma.
