Hilsa Roe Mustard Recipe

Ingredients:
Hilsa Roe – 1, whole
Potatoes – 2, peeled and cubed
Garlic Cloves – 10
Mustard Seeds – 1 tblsp
Salt as per taste
Tomato – 1, quartered
Onion – 1/2
Water – 2 cups
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Cumin Powder – 1 tblsp
Chilli Powder – 1/4 tsp

Method:
1. Grind the mustard seeds, garlic and onion together.
2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the spices for 45 to 60 seconds.
3. Add the potato pieces and fry for 2 minutes.
4. Pour the water and add salt.
5. Bring to a boil.
6. Gently put the roe in.
7. When it hardens, cut it into pieces.
8. Add tomato, cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
9. Uncover and fry till dry.
10. Remove and serve hot.
