Ingredients:
Fish Fillets - 500 gms
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Onion - 1, chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp, chopped
Green Chillies - 2, chopped
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
For the Gravy:
Ghee - 1/4 cup
Garlic Paste - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1/2 tsp
Green Chillies - 2, chopped
Ginger - 1 tblsp, julienned
Kasuri Methi Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt as per taste
Tomatoes - 2 to 3, chopped
For the Garnish:
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Coriander Leaves - 2 tsp, chopped
Method:
1. Heat ghee for gravy in a kadhai.
2. Add garlic paste and saute over moderate heat for a few minutes.
3. Add the remaining gravy ingredients and cook till gravy thickens.
4. Remove and keep aside.
5. Clean and wash the fish thoroughly.
6. Heat ghee in a large tawa.
7. Fry the fish over moderate heat till half-cooked.
8. Push the fish to the sides of the tawa.
9. Sprinkle ajwain in the centre of tawa and fry for a few seconds.
10. Add onion and fry till translucent.
11. Add the remaining ingredients and move fish to centre.
12. Stir gently for a few minutes.
13. Add the gravy and cook till gravy is dry.
14. Garnish with garam masala powder and coriander leaves.
15. Remove and serve hot.
