Chana Dal Halwa Recipe

Ingredients:
Chana Dal – 500 gms
Milk – 2 cups
Cream – 2 cups
Khoya – 1/2 cup, unsweetened
Cardamom Powder – 1 tsp
Saffron – 1/4 tsp, dried and soaked in 1 tsp warm milk
Sugar – 250 gms
Ghee – 2 tblsp
Silver Vrak

Method:
1. Soak the dal in water for 2 hours.
2. Boil till soft and mash well.
3. Add milk, cream and khoya.
4. Mix well.
5. Pound cardamom powder and saffron and add with sugar.
6. Cook on low heat till sugar dissolves.
7. Add ghee and continue to cook till well fried.
8. Decorate with silver vrak.
9. Serve.
