Ingredients:
Coriander Leaves – 1/2 cup
Spinach (Palak) – 2 cup, finely chopped and cleaned
Toor Dal – 1 cup
Jeera – 1 tsp
Cloves – 1 tsp
Bay Leaf – 2 to 3
Red Chilli – 3 to 4
Ginger – 2 tsp
Green Chilli – 3
Asafoetid Powder
Turmeric Powder – 2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder
Lime Juice – 1 tsp
Salt as per taste
Oil as required

Method:
1. Pressure cook  toor dal for 3 to 4 whistles adding turmeric powder, coriander leaves, green chilli and ginger.
2. In a pan add 3 to 4 tsp oil.
3. Add jeera, cloves, red chilli, bay leaf and asafoetida powder.
4. Add the cooked dal adding little water and mix nicely.
5. Add the spinach to the dal and allow it to boil.
6. Add salt.
7. Add red chilli powder.
8. Close it with a lid and allow it to boil.
9. Then add lime juice.
10. Allow it to boil for a few minutes.
11. Serve hot.
