Sandali Murgh Recipe

Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 kg, jointed
Ghee - 1/2 cup
Milk - 750 ml
Dried Melon Seeds - 3 tblsp
Poppy Seeds - 4 tsp
Almonds - 20, blanched
Mace Blades - 3
Nutmeg - 1/2
Green Cardamom - 6
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp

Method:
1. Heat ghee in a pan and lightly fry the chicken.
2. Remove and put into another pan with milk.
3. Cook for 30 minutes till tender.
4. Soak dried melon seeds and poppy seeds separately in water for 3 hours.
5. Drain and grind with almonds, mace, nutmeg and cardamom.
6. Fry the paste for 3 minutes in the ghee left over from frying the chicken.
7. Add the paste to the chicken along with salt.
8. Cover and simmer on very low heat for 15 minutes.
9. Remove and Serve.
