Mangalore Bonda Recipe
Ingredients:
* Maida- 1 cup
* Rice flour- 1/4 cup
* Rava- 2 tablespoons
* Thick sour yoghurt- 3/4 cup
* Chopped Spinach or (any other greens of your choice)- 1/2
* cup
* Chopped onions- 1/4 cup
* Finely cut green chilies- 1 tablespoon
* Chopped cilantro (coriander)
* Curry leaves
* Cooking soda- 1 pinch
* Salt
Method:
Mix all the ingredients together (except the greens and cooking soda) and keep this mixture closed for 6 hrs. Heat oil in a pan.
Mix the chopped greens and the cooking soda to the above said mixture. Make lemon sized balls out of this mixture and deep fry few balls at a time, until golden brown. Serve hot with coconut chutney.
