Narial ka Meetha (Coconut Dessert) Recipe
Ingredients:
Fresh Coconut - 1 medium, finely grated
Cashewnuts - 100 gms
Milk - 6 to 8 tblsp
Condensed Milk - 250 gms
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Eggs - 6, well beaten
Ghee - 2 tblsp
Saffron Strands - 1/4 tsp, soaked in 2 tblsp of warm milk
Almonds - 1 tblsp, blanched, peeled and slivered
Pistachios - 1 tblsp, blanched, peeled and slivered
Method:
1. Grind the coconut and cashewnuts into a fine paste, gradually adding the milk.
2. Pour the condensed milk and sugar.
3. Add the eggs.
4. Add the ghee and mix well.
5. Add the saffron strands soaked in milk.
6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking tray.
7. Sprinkle the pistachios and almonds on top.
8. Bake in an oven preheated to 150C for about 30 minutes till golden brown.
9. Serve hot or allow it to cool down and Serve.
