Gobi Mutter Masala Recipe
Ingredients:
Cauliflower - 2, medium size
Peas - 2 cups, shelled
Salt as per taste
Oil - 2 1/2 tblsp
Tomato Ketchup - 1/2 cup
Cinnamon - 2 inch piece
Cloves - 4
Aniseed - 1/2 tsp
Grind to a Coarse Paste:
Onion - 2, big
Garlic - 10 flakes
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Dhania - 1 1/2 tsp
Cashewnuts - 10 to 15
Green Chillies - 5
Chilli Powder - 1 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Method:
1. Cut cauliflower into big pieces.
2. Wash and boil in water along peas.
3. Heat oil, season with cinnamon, cloves and aniseed.
4. Add the ground masala and fry in a medium flame till oil separates from it.
5. Mix boiled vegetables, salt and enough water.
6. Cook till the gravy turns fairly thick.
7. Sprinkle tomato ketchup and mix well.
8. Remove from fire after a minute or two.
9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
10. Serve hot.
