Sprouted Horse Gram Kurma

Ingredients:
Horse Gram (Kollu) – 1 cup
Onion – 2
Potatoes – 2
Salt as per taste
Oil – 3 tblsp

Grind Together:
Red Chillies – 8
Dhania – 1 tsp
Jeera – 1/2 tsp
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Coriander Leaves – 1 bunch
Garlic – 8 flakes
Onion – 1
Coconut – 1/2, scraped
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Roasted Poppy Seeds – 2 tsp
Tomatoes – 3

Method:
1. Grind the masala ingredients, add tomatoes at the last and grind well.
2. Soak the horse gram for 10 to 12 hours.
3. Tie it in a muslin cloth and allow it to sprout for a day.
4. Cook the sprouted gram with enough water in a pressure cooker, strain and reserve the water.
5. Peel and cube the potatoes.
6. Chop the onions finely.
7. Pour oil into the pressure pan and add onions.
8. Fry till it browns and add the ground masala.
9. Continue to fry in medium heat till raw smell is lost.
10. Add the potato cubes, boiled gram with enough water and salt.
11. Cover and pressure cook till one whistle.
12. Garnish with coriander leaves.
13. Serve hot.
