- Ginger Lamb Chops
Ginger Lamb Chops Recipe
Ingredients:
Lamb Chops - 12
Papaya Paste - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Ginger Paste - 3 tbsp
Garlic Paste - 4 tsp
Black Pepper Powder - 1 tsp
Cream - 3 tbsp
Cumin Powder - 1 tbsp
Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Garam Masala - 2 tsp
Lemon Juice - 2 tbsp
Butter/Oil for basting
Method:
1. Clean chops and flatten them slightly with a spatula.
2. Mix together the papaya paste, salt, ginger garlic pastes and pepper.
3. Rub the mixture onto the chops.
4. Keep aside for 3 to 4 hours.
5. Whisk cream along with cumin powder, red chilli powder, garam masala and lemon juice.
6. Coat the chops well and leave to marinate further for an hour.
7. Preheat oven to 175C/350F.
8. Skewer chops an inch apart and roast in oven/tandoor/grill for 10 to 12 minutes.
9. Hang skewers for a couple of minutes to let excess liquid drip off.
10. Baste with butter and roast again for 3 to 4 minutes until lightly browned.
11. Garnish with chopped coriander.
12. Serve hot.
