Potato-Coated Lamb Chops Recipe

Ingredients:
Lamb Chops – 12
Water – 3 cups
Onion – 1, sliced
Ginger – 1 tsp, sliced
Garlic – 6, cloves
Peppercorns – 6 to 8
Cinnamon – 1 one inch stick
Black Cardamoms – 2
Cloves – 4
Salt to Taste

For the Coating:
Potatoes – 1/2 kg, boiled, peeled, mashed
Ginger – 1 tsp, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 2, finely chopped
Green Chillies – 2, finely chopped
Coriander – 1 tbsp, chopped
Black pepper Powder – 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Powder – 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Breadcrumbs, powdered

Method:
1. Put the chops in a pan.
2. Add water, sliced onion, ginger, garlic, peppercorns, cinnamon, cardamoms, cloves and salt.
3. Cover the pan and let the chops simmer on low heat till tender.
4. Remove from the stock and keep aside.
5. For the coating, add ginger, green chillies, coriander, black pepper powder, red chilli powder and salt to the potatoes.
6. Mix well.
7. Divide the potato mixture into 12 portions.
8. Moisten palm and spread one portion of the potato mixture on it.
9. Place a chop in the middle and wrap mashed potato around it.
10. Shaping it well, prepare the remaining chops similarly and keep aside.
11. Spread the powdered breadcrumbs in a flat tray.
12. Coat each chop evenly with the breadcrumbs and keep aside.
13. Heat oil in a kadai till it starts smoking.
14. Fry the chops, two at a time, till they are crisp and nicely browned from all sides.
15. Drain on a paper napkin.
16. Serve with green salad.
