Fish Cakes Recipe

Ingredients:
Fish (pomfret/seer/salmon) - 500 gms, boneless, washed
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Potatoes - 2, medium, boiled, mashed
Onions - 2, medium, minced
Ginger - 1 tsp, minced
Garlic - 1 tsp, minced
Green Chillies - 2 to 3, minced
Green coriander - 2 tbsp, finely chopped
Lemon juice - 2 tbsp
Salt to taste
Black Pepper Powder - 1/4 tsp
Eggs - 2, beaten
Breadcrumbs - 1 cup
Vegetable Oil for shallow frying

Method:
1. Steam the fish with 1/2 tsp salt, turmeric powder and 1/2 cup water for 5 to 7 minutes.
2. Drain and mash well, removing skin and bones if any.
3. Add the remaining ingredients, except the breadcrumbs and oil.
4. Mix well, adjust seasoning.
5. On a flat surface, shape small quantities of the mixture into flat round/oval cakes or oblong croquettes.
6. Roll in breadcrumbs and shallow fry the cakes till golden.
7. Serve hot with a spicy tomato sauce.

can innovate it much better with salad to give good presentation.
