Sanna Recipe

Ingredients:
Split Black Gram - 1 cup
Rice Semolina - 2 cups
Salt as per taste

Method:
1. Soak the split black gram in water to cover overnight or for 8 hours minimum.
2. Drain and grind with enough water to a fine paste.
3. Set aside.
4. Soak the semolina in 4 cups of water for 2 hours.
5. Mix the ground paste, semolina, salt and enough water to make a thick batter.
6. Leave the batter to ferment for 8 hours.
7. Grease the surface of each sanna (rice cake) mould with a little oil.
8. Pour the batter into each mould till half full.
9. Steam the sanna for 15-18 minutes.
