Namak Para Recipe

Ingredients:
Refined Flour (Maida) - 2 1/2 cups
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Onion Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Vegetable Oil for deep frying

Method:
1. Mix all the ingredients together except oil and knead.
2. Roll the dough to a ΒΌ”-thick disc.
3. With a sharp knife cut the disc in ½” wide vertical strips.
4. Again cut in a slant about ½” wide strips to get diamond shapes.
5. Heat the oil in a kadai.
6. Fry these pieces, a few at a time, on low heat till brown and crisp.
7. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on paper towels.
8. Repeat till all the pieces are fried.
9. This can be stored for a week in airtight container. Serve with any pickle of your choice.
