Gucchi Pulao Recipe
Ingredients:
Rice - 1 cup, cleaned, drained
Morel Mushrooms - 50 gms, soaked in warm water for 1/2 hour, drained
Clarified Butter - 1 cup
Cinnamon Sticks - 2
Cloves - 6
Green Cardamoms - 3
Black Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Onions - 1/2 cup, chopped
Salt to taste
Water - 2 cups
Method:
1. Heat the clarified butter in a kadai.
2. Add the cinnamon sticks, cloves, green cardamoms, black cumin seeds and onions.
3. Saute till the onions turn light brown.
4. Add the rice and salt.
5. Fry for a minute.
6. Add the mushrooms and water.
7. When the rice mixture comes to a boil, reduce the heat and cook covered till the rice is done and the water is absorbed.
8. Serve hot.
