Spicy Shredded Chicken Recipe
Ingredients:
Chicken - 1 kg, cut into pieces
Ghee - 1 1/4 cup
Onions - 4, large and chopped
Ginger - 1 tsp, ground
Garlic - 1 tsp, ground
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp, ground
Red Chilli Powder - 2 tsp
Coriander Powder - 2 tsp
Yogurt - 1 1/4 cups
Almonds - 10, blanched and ground
Coconut - 1 tblsp, desiccated
Salt to taste
Green Cardamoms - 1/2 tsp, powdered
Green Chillies - 4, slit
Green Coriander - 1 tblsp, chopped
Rose Water - 1 tblsp
Method:
1. Boil the chicken for 15 minutes and keep aside to cool.
2. Debone and shred it.
3. Keep aside.
4. Heat the ghee.
5. Fry the onions till light brown.
6. Add ginger, garlic, cumin seeds, red chilli powder and coriander powder.
7. Cook till the oil separates, stirring briskly.
8. Add the yogurt, almonds, coconut and chicken.
9. Cook on a low flame until the gravy thickens.
10. Mix in the salt and cardamom powder.
11. Garnish with green coriander and green chillies.
12. Add rose water just before serving.
