Murgi Jhol Recipe

Ingredients:
Chicken - 1, cut into 8 pieces
Oil - 4 tblsp
Panch Phoran - 2 tsp
Bayleaf - 1
Ginger Paste - 1 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Tomatoes - 1/2 cup, cut into slices
Turmeric Powder - 1 tblsp
Coriander Powder - 1 tsp
Cumin Seed Powder - 2 tsp
Water - 2 1/2 cups
Potatoes - 2, cut into wedges
Cauliflower - 2, cut into florets

Method:
1. Heat the oil.
2. Add the chicken and saute for 1 to 2 minutes.
3. Remove with a slotted spoon and keep aside.
4. To the same oil, add the panch phoran and bayleaf.
5. Saute for a few seconds.
6. Add the ginger paste and garlic paste, tomatoes and the dry spices.
7. Saute further for a few seconds.
8. Add the chicken pieces and the water, followed by potatoes and cauliflower.
9. Bring the mixture to a boil.
10. Leave to simmer for 30 minutes or until the chicken is fully tender.
11. Serve hot.
