Paneer Peppercorn Masala Recipe
Ingredients:
Paneer - 250 gms
Oil - 2 tblsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Onions - 1/2 cup, grated
Tomatoes - 1/2 cup, blanched
Tomato Puree - 2 tblsp
Tomato Sauce - 1 tblsp
Salt to taste
Chaat Masala - 1/4 tsp
Garam Masala - 1/4 tsp
Capsicum Rings to garnish
For the Marinade:
Peppercorns - 1 tblsp, coarsely crushed
Yogurt - 2 tblsp
Cream - 1 tblsp
Chaat Masala - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli Flakes - 1/2 tsp
Salt to taste
Cornflour - 1 tblsp
Method:
1. Put all the marinade ingredients in a bowl.
2. Add the paneer and marinate for 30 minutes.
3. Grill the paneer or saute in a nonstick pan till golden brown.
4. Heat the oil in a kadai.
5. Add the cumin seeds.
6. Add the garlic paste and stir till it changes colour.
7. Add the onions and saute till they turn light brown.
8. Stir in the tomatoes, tomato puree and sauce.
9. Season with the salt, chaat masala and garam masala.
10. Simmer until the oil comes to the surface.
11. Stir in the paneer pieces taking care not to break them.
12. Transfer to a serving dish and garnish with capsicum rings.
13. Serve hot with garlic bread.
