Ingredients:
Cabbage – 2 cups, chopped
Shelled Peas – 1/2 cup
Tuvar Dal – 1/2 cup
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Tamarind Extract – 1 tblsp
Coconut – 4 tblsp, grated

For Seasoning:
Oil – 2 tblsp
Mustard Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Onion – 1, chopped
Green Chillies – 2, slit
Curry Leaves – 2 sprigs

Fry in 2 tsp Oil and Grind
Coriander Seeds – 1 tblsp
Cumin Seeds – 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal – 1 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds – 1/4 tsp
Red Chillies – 2

Method:
1. Boil dal with turmeric powder.
2. Boil cabbage and peas separately with salt and set aside.
3. Season in oil mustard seeds.
4. When done add chilli, curry leaves and onion.
5. Fry till onion is browned.
6. Add cooked dal, vegetables, tamarind extract, ground masala and some water (if too thick).
7. Simmer for 3 to 5 minutes.
8. Remove from fire and serve with rice.
