Field Beans Dry Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
Mochakka (Field Beans) - 2 cups, shelled
Ginger - 1/2 inch piece
Green Chillies - 3
Coconut - 2 tblsp, grated
Coriander Leaves - 1 tblsp, chopped
Salt to taste
For Seasoning:
Sesame Seed Oil - 2 tblsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal - 1 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - a pinch
Curry Leaves - 2 sprigs
Method:
1. Cook field beans in a pressure cooker with salt.
2. Cut chillies into 2 to 3 pieces each.
3. Chop the ginger fine.
4. Heat oil, add seasonings and when dal turns brown, add chillies and ginger.
5. Fry for 30 seconds and add the cooked field beans, grated coconut, chopped coriander leaves; Mix.
6. Stir for 1 to 2 minutes before removing from fire.
7. Serve with rice.
