Fish in Green Masala Recipe
Ingredients:
Fillets of Pomfret or White Fleshed Fish - 1/2 kg
Lemon Juice - 1 tsp
Onion - 1 large, finely sliced
Salt - 1 1/2 tsp
Vegetable Oil - 2 tblsp
Grind to a Paste:
Coconut - 1/2, grated
Garlic - 4 large cloves
Cumin Seeds - 1 heaped tsp
Fresh Coriander - 4 tblsp, roughly chopped
Onions - 1 large or 2 small
Green Chillies - 3
Method:
1. In a wide shallow pan heat oil and fry sliced onion in it till pale yellow and soft.
2. Add masala paste and cook for 5 minutes. Add lemon juice.
3. Gradually add 1/2 cup water and continue cooking 10 minutes more.
4. Add fillets of fish and salt and blend well.
5. Simmer, covered, till fish is cooked.
