Bataka Paua Recipe
Ingredients:
Paua (Rice Flakes) - 200 gms
Potatoes - 2, finely chopped
Green Chillies - 3 to 4, finely chopped
Sugar - 45 gms
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Juice of 2 Lemon
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Curry Leaves - few
Salt to taste
Oil - 60 gms
For the Garnish:
Sev - 250 gms
Coriander Leaves - 30 gms, chopped
Method:
1. Soak the rice flakes in water for 2-3 minutes.
2. Strain so that no water remains.
3. Heat oil and add the cumin seeds and curry leaves.
4. Add potatoes and cook for 2-3 minutes.
5. Add turmeric powder, paua, salt and sugar.
6. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
7. Add the lemon juice and mix well.
8. Garnish with sev and chopped coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
