Colocasia (Seppankizhangu) Chips Recipe
Ingredients:
Colocasia - 1 kg
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Dry Red Chillies - 10
Asafoetida Powder - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Tamarind - marble sized ball
Oil for frying
Method:
1. Pressure cook the colocasia in their jackets. Peel and chop into 1/2 inch pieces.
2. Grind to a fine paste the turmeric powder, chillies, asafoetida, salt and tamarind, adding very little water. Smear evenly over the colocasia.
3. Heat oil and fry colocasia in batches till golden.
4. Serve hot.
