Yam Chips Recipe

Ingredients:
Turmeric Powder - 2 tsp
Yam - 1 kg
Oil for frying
Salt to taste
Chilli Paste - 2 tsp
Asafoetida Powder - 1 tsp

Method:
1. Combine turmeric powder with 4 cups of water and set aside.
2. Peel the yam and slice thinly. Immense in the turmeric solution for 30 minutes.
3. Drain yam, pat dry and spread on a thin cloth.
4. Heat oil and fry the yam chips in batches.
5. Mix the salt, chilli powder and asafoetida powder. Sprinkle on the chips.
6. Store in an airtight container.
