Cabbage Pakoda Recipe
Ingredients:
Ghee - 1 tblsp
Sodium Bicarbonate - 1/4 tsp
Bengal Gram Flour - 1 cup
Salt to taste
Rice Flour - 1/4 cup
Green Chillies - 3 to 4, chopped fine
Cabbage - 1 cup, finely chopped
Green Peas - 1/4 cup, shelled (optional)
Coriander Leaves - small bunch, chopped fine
Curry Leaves - few
Onion - 1, chopped fine
Oil for deep frying
Method:
1. Rub ghee and sodium bicarbonate until frothy in a mixing bowl.
2. Add gram flour, rice flour, salt and all the chopped vegetables and green peas.
3. Add sufficient water to form a thick batter.
4. Heat the oil in a deep frying pan to smoking point. Drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil. Fry till golden and crisp.
5. Serve hot.
