- Buttermilk Curry
Buttermilk Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
2 glasses sour Buttermilk
2 tblsp Gramflour
1 tblsp Jaggery, grated
1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
1 tbsp Dhania-Jeera powder
a few Curry leaves
1/4 tsp Mustard seeds
1/4 tsp Cumin seeds
1/4 tsp Fenugreek seeds
1 Onion, grated
1 tsp Ginger, grated
1 tsp Garlic, grated
3 Green Chillies, slit
2 Red Chillies, broken into bits
Salt to taste
Method:
1. Mix buttermilk with gramflour, salt and all the spices.
2. Heat 2 tblsp of oil and add a pinch of hing, mustard, cumin and fenugreek seeds and red chillies.
3. Fry till the mixture turns brown.
4. Add ginger, garlic, onion and curry leaves and cook till soft.
5. Put in buttermilk along with the remaining ingredients and cook till the curry turns a little thick.
6. Serve hot.
