- Besan Ki Curry
Besan Ki Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
For Wadies
250 gms Besan
50 gms Curd
50 gms Ghee
1/2 tsp Pomegranate seeds, crushed
1 tsp Ginger paste
handful of Coriander leaves
1 tblsp Green Chillies, minced
Salt and Chilli powder to taste
1/2 tsp Peppercorns, crushed
1/2 tsp Coriander seeds, crushed
1/2 tsp Poppy seeds, crushed
For Curry
12 Garlic flakes, ground to a paste
1/2 tsp Mustard seeds
1 big Tomato, grated
handful of Coriander leaves
1 tblsp Dhania-Jeera powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
Salt anc Chilli powder to taste
Method:
1. Mix all the wadi ingredients together and add enough water to form a stiff dough.
2. Roll the dough into long rolls.
3. Boil the rolls in water for half an hour. Remove rolls from water and cut into round pieces. Do not throw the water.
4. Heat 2 tblsp of ghee and add mustard seeds.
5. When the seeds stop popping, add garlic, fry lightly and then add tomatoes, all the spices and salt.
6. When the ghee oozes out, add wadies, mix well, add water in which the wadies were boiled.
7. Cook till it becomes a little thick.
8. Garnish with coriander leaves.
9. Serve hot.
