Chicken Liver Kebabs Recipe
Ingredients:
Chicken livers - 20
Milk - 2 cups
Bacon - 20 (1 inch sliced)
Onions - 20 rings, thinly sliced
Paprika - 1/4 tsp
Nutmeg - 1/4 tsp
Garlic powder or garlic sauce - 1/4 tsp
Melted butter or oil as required to cook
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Soak the chicken livers in 2 cups milk for about 30 minutes. Drain and pat dry.
2. Mix paprika, nutmeg and garlic powder with 1 tsp salt.
3. Fry the other ingredients onto 4 skewers in several tbsp of hot fat with a sprinkle of spice mixture till they are done when the liver is still faintly pink on the inside.
4. This can be served with rice and tomato, onion and cucumber salad.
Tip:
The kebabs can be brushed with melted butter or a butter and oil mixture and broiled on a charcoal grill.
