Dal Darbari Recipe
Ingredients:
Yellow moong dal - 250 gms
Palak - 1 small bunch, chopped into small pieces
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Green chilli - 1
Ginger - 1 tsp, chopped
Cumin seeds - 1/2 tsp
Ghee - 2 tsp
Spinach - 300 gms
Water as required
Method:
1. Wash dal well and soak in 3 cups of water for 30 minutes.
2. Pressure cook with turmeric powder and salt for 15 minutes.
3. Add chopped spinach and cook for another 5 minutes.
4. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds.
5. Add ginger and green chilli in a short while. Finally, mix cooked dal with red chilli powder.
6. Lightly boil once more and serve after a while.
