Prawn Malai Curry Recipe
Ingredients:
Prawns - 2 cups, deveined and uncooked
Ginger - 1 tsp, crushed
Garlic - 1 tsp, crushed
Onions - 1/2 cup, finely chopped
Chilli powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1 tsp
Cinnamon - 1 inch stick
Coconut milk - 1 cup
Coconut - 1/2 cup, grated
Lemon juice - 1 tsp
Green chillies - 4
Parsley leaves - few, optional
Oil - 1/2 cup
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1 tsp
Method:
1. After heating oil in a pan, add the onions, ginger, garlic and saute for about 3 minutes.
2. Next, our in the coconut milk, shredded coconut, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cinnamon, salt, sugar and lemon juice. Stir well for another 5 minutes.
3. Finally, add the prawns and the whole chillies. Cover and cook for another 10 minutes.
4. Garnish with parsley leaves and serve hot over rice.
