Butterfly Prawns Recipe
Ingredients:
Large prawns - 12
Egg - 1, whisked
Chinese wine or dry sherry - 1 tbsp
Clove -1
Garlic - 1, ground
Corn flour - 1/2 cup
Fresh ginger - 1/2 tsp, finely grated
Light soy sauce - 2 tbsp
Bread crumbs - for coating
Peanut oil - for deep frying
Salt as per taste
Method:
1. Remove the shells of the prawns and eliminate the tails. Cut the meat from the inside portion and let the thin layer on the back remain.
2. Blend soy sauce, wine and ground garlic and ginger. Add salt according to taste.
3. Next dip the prawns into corn flour and follow it by dipping them into the whisked egg.
4. For appropriate coating, use bread crumbs.
5. Stir fry the prawns till they become deliciously crunchy.
