Soya Cutlet Recipe
Ingredients:
Soya chunks - 100 gms
Potato (boiled and mashed) - 1/4 kg
Fresh bread crumbs - 1 cup
Capsicum - 2
Green chillies - 2 (deseeded and chopped)
Coriander leaves - 1/4 cup, finely cut
Mint leaves - 2 tblsp (finely cut)
Salt - to taste
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
Red chilli powder - 3/4 tsp
Oil - as required
Method:
1. Finely chop capsicum.
2. Heat water in a pressure pan, add soya chunks, close with lid. Put weight on and cook for one whistle.
3. When the pressure subsides allow to cool, strain, squeeze and grind it in a mixie.
4. Take boiled mashed potatoes in a bowl, add ground soya, bread crumbs, capsicum, green chillies, mint leaves, coriander leaves, all mentioned spice powders and mix well.
5. Shape into orange sized balls and flatten it. Shape into cutlets as desired and fry on a hot tawa using enough oil on both sides.
Serve with mint chutney and tomato sauce
