Mampazham Mor Kuzhambu Recipe
Ingredients:
2 mangoes (ripe)
1 cup thick curds
2 sprigs curry leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
a very small piece of jaggery
Fry in 1/2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds
2 red chillies
Grind to paste, adding
1 cup coconut gratings
2 green chillies
Seasoning
1 tsp oil
1/2 tsp mustard
Method:
1. Wash mangoes, cut them into 3 pieces each, keeping the seed as it is. Add 1/2 cup water, turmeric powder, salt and curry leaf, set to boil.
2. When pieces have turned soft, add ground paste and jaggery and simmer till the mixture has blended and become thick.
3. Beat curds, add to pan. When about to boil, remove from fire.
4. Season in 1tsp oil, 1/2 tsp mustard and 1 sprig curry leaves and add to kuzhambu.
Serve with rice and any dry curry.
