Carrot Rice Recipe

Ingredients

Carrot - 1 cup(grated)
Onion - 1
Coriander leaves - 1 bunch(cut into small pieces)
Red chillies - 4
Mustard - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Lemon - 1/2(squeeze it and take the juice out)
Oil - 1 tbsp
Sugar 1 tsp
Salt to taste

Method

Take a pan, put oil and heat it for a min.
Put mustard and jeera and wait till the mustard splutters.
Then add red chillies and fry for a min.Add onions and fry till brown.
Then add the grated carrot, salt, turmeric powder, sugar and coriander leaves and fry for 4-5 mins.
Keep it aside for 10 mins.Then put the lemon juice and mix well.
Mix this gravy with plain rice and serve with chips or raitha.

Serves: 2 - 3 servings
