Ingredients
Rice - 3 cups (360 g)
Ginger chopped - A small piece
Lime Juice - Juice of 3 or 4 medium sized Lemons
Oil - 2 or 3 tbsps
Green Chilles chopped - 2
salt to taste
Seasonings
Bengal gram - 1 tbsp
Black Gram - 1 tbsp
Mustard - 1/2 tbsp
Asafoetida - A pinch
cashewnuts - A few
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
Curry leaves - A few
Red chilles - 2
Method
1. Heat the oil and fry bengal gram, balck gram, mustard, asafoetida, cashewnuts, and red chilles. When they are slightly brown, add the curry leaves, green chilles, ginger pieces add turmeric powder. Remove from flame.
2. Cook the rice till the grains separate
3. Add the seasonings to the hot cooked rice and mix with salt and lime juice.
4. Serve hot or cold.
