The Papa Doble Recipe

Maraschino liqueur is a clear cherry liqueur with no relation to the bright red cocktail cherries of the same spelling.


  • 1½ ounces white rum
  • ¼ ounce maraschino liqueur
  • ½ ounce grapefruit juice
  • ¾ ounce Simple Syrup
  • ¾ ounce lime juice


  1. Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.
  2. Strain over crushed ice into a rocks glass.
  3. Serve immediately.
