Banana Recipes
Banana is taken both as a vegetable as well as a fruit. Rich in carbohydrate and Vitamins A and B, it also contains protein besides traces of iron and salt. Medicinal value is attributed to it as well. Taken as a fruit, it is good for the prevention of constipation.
A number of food preparations are made using raw bananas specially in the southern regions. The flowers of the banana plant as well as its tender stem are also used in the cooking. Both the stem and flowers have very high medicinal properties and figures in home remedies.
